Leonardo DiCaprio Biography

In 2014, DiCaprio was part of the production team for 'Virunga', a British documentary movie about a group of four people fighting to save the world's last mountain gorillas from poachers. He was also an executive producer on another documentary titled ‘Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret', which explores the effects of animal and agriculture on the environment, as well as investigating the environmental organizations' policies in this matter.

DiCaprio also produced and played fur trapper Hugh Glass in the movie ‘The Revenant’ by Alejandro G. Inarritu. He described it as his most challenging film. In the movie, he had sleep in animal carcasses and ate a raw piece of bison’s liver. He also suffered hypothermia, learned how to speak two Native American dialects, shoot a musket, and build a fire, as well as learning how to apply ancient healing methods.

Between 2015 and 2019, DiCaprio narrated in a number of documentaries and served as a film producer. He was an executive producer for the documentary 'The Ivory Game', which explores the ivory trade, in 2016. The same year, he also produced, hosted, and narrated another documentary titled 'Before the Flood' which is also an environmental documentary that examines climate changes.

Personal Life

Leonardo DiCaprio stands at 1.83 meters tall that is equal to 6.0039370079 feet according to this conversion tool. He was raised as a Christian Catholic in California, but as an adult, he does not have a religion.

Most of DiCaprio’s personal life is unknown and he rarely gives interviews and never openly discusses his private life. Some of his romantic relationships include with Gisele Bundchen, who he dated from 2000 to 2005 and with Bar Refaeli from 2005 to 2011. He also was also romantically involved with German fashion model Toni Garrn between 2013 and 2014 and then in 2017.

DiCaprio owns a palatial home in Los Angeles as well as an apartment in Battery Park City in New York. He bought an island in 2009, BlackadoreCaye, located off mainland Belize, and he plans to open an eco-friendly resort.
