New Cross.tv website creates cross cultural connections

Pioneering internet broadcast ministry cross.tv, have this week, unveiled
a brand new website design with improved functionalities and easy-to-use
navigation features. Providing an online community for Christians who want
to impact their world, the new www.cross.tv combines the best of social
networking with high quality HD streaming and a multilingual
communications platform; making it the first Christian social media
community in the world to support multilingual interaction and
communication.

Not only can users upload videos, upload pictures, publish blogs, add
friends and even develop their own sub-networks for their families,
churches, ministries or projects. They can also communicate about and
raise awareness of their ministry using cross.tv’s unique “cross
pollination" functionalities which allows them to publish content in multiple languages.

Members do not need to know and speak the English language to join the
site; the unique communications model allows members and visitors to
access the site in 22 languages. Registered members can
communicate with other members in their own native language through the
use of an advanced language filtering system.

Operating from within Bratislava, www.cross.tv is quickly proving to be
more than a social network. Founded by Andreas Kisslinger and Stefan
Jager, Cross.tv enables individuals, families, churches, ministries and
organisations from across the globe to connect in an online space that
offers quality faith-based content in their own language, monitored round
the clock by specially assigned editors.

“Being truly global, cross.tv currently exists in 22 languages and every visitor sees cross.tv in his/her own language,” says Andreas Kisslinger, co-founder of www.cross.tv. “Members can save their own language preferences, choosing which video, audio and text content he/she would like to be shown in their language.

“We allow Christians and Christian ministries around the world to be easily united in a way that has not been done before anywhere. Users are able to post and read in their own native language and at the same time connect with thousands around the world, present their own ideas and projects, as well as finding out about others. The wide range of functionality and media sharing opportunities enables ministries to reach more people in a more efficient (and statistically
trackable) way and people around the world to share their God given
creativity and audio-visualized ideas.”

Unlike other social networking websites such as Facebook and MySpace,
having a dedicated online content monitoring team helps cross.tv offer a
safe and clean community that can be accessed by all ages. All uploaded
content are screened to ensure they maintain high standards and conform to
Christian values.

Stefan Jager adds, “Cross.tv is indeed a melting pot that connects
believers around the world, supports their ministries and amplifies the
message of Jesus Christ on a global level. Users may find themselves
watching a Christian music video from England, reading a poem about Christ
from a young student in China, or listening to a church service from the
United States. All members have the opportunity of sharing Christ with the
world in their unique voice.”

Andreas Kisslinger Biography

Andreas Kisslinger, born in Austria, raised as a Pastor’s son, is no stranger to the incredible cultural and spiritual heritage of Europe. Moving from the countryside of Austria to the busy streets of Vienna, Andreas found himself drawn to the need of his fellow Europeans in their quest for truth. Generations of war and a humanistic educational system formed a tremendous spiritual vacuum leaving intact a dangerous postmodern-liberal mindset of pluralism. Today, Europe is packed with humanistic ideals and saturated with post-Christian ethics. Andreas seeks to overcome those post-Christian beliefs with a strong and strategic media presence for Jesus Christ.

In response to the spiritual vacuum within Europe, Andreas Kisslinger worked to form the non-profit organization, Euromedia Missions. The main objective of EMM is to reach Europe for Christ through the strength of powerful media activities such as Christian broadcast, concerts, and conferences throughout Europe. Andreas currently serves as Director of the organization and President of the Board of Directors.

A few years later, Andreas also founded the praise:media ltd. – a media and translation agency with offices in Vienna and Bratislava servicing renowned international faith-based organizations.

During this time, Andreas co-founded CROSS.TV and the cross media group. Cross.tv is a state of the art, globally impacting multi-media community and social network. In addition, the site serves as an on demand web-TV platform that seeks to connect Christian believers and amplify the message of Jesus Christ through the use of the Internet.

Additionally, Andreas Kisslinger reaches thousands of Europeans everyday as a VJ for one of the most watched Christian television programs in Europe, One Cubed. The program seeks to minister to youth and young adults of Europe through the power of music. He also hosts yearly Christian concert tours throughout Eastern Europe ministering to thousands of disaffected youth and young adults introducing them to hope.

With his years of experience in Christian media and evangelism, Andreas Kisslinger believes strongly in a Christian Europe and steadily works to ensure this future. He is sought after as a speaker, worship leader, and an expert in European faith-based broadcast.

Youtube, Facebook and Co, receiving Christian counterparts?

The world’s largest video platform Youtube and leading social networks have recently faced increasing criticism from within Christian religious societies concerning it’s lack of moral values and an increasing number of questionable content and thus are being challenged by Christian video platforms and social networks. The newly launched multimedia community and social network www.cross.tv is taking a global approach, primarily focusing on world regions that haven’t been introduced to Christian media communities and social networks before. With new functionalities and value based content, cross.tv seeks to offer an alternative for value oriented internet users.

Besides video sharing cross.tv also enables users to upload pictures, publish blogs, create their own web pages and develop their own sub-networks for their families, churches, ministries or projects. Old and new friends can be found in the cross.tv community as well.

Especially assigned editors make sure that all the uploaded content maintain high standards and conform to Christian values. Content including any form of violence or nudity is being rejected.

The motto “SHARE THE GLORY” communicates the heart of cross.tv: to enable individual believers, families, churches, ministries and organizations to connect and to “share the glory, wisdom and blessings” they themselves have received.

Churches and ministries can use cross.tv to stream their sermons and events both live and on demand. Professional video and TV-producers can take advantage of the high quality streaming services, with server sided h.264 encoding and streaming bandwidths up to 1 Mbit, allowing crystal clear High Definition streaming.
