As we abide in the Lord's rest and live from that place of peace and rest in Him, circumstances will not be able to reign over us.

Clothed in Words of Love

Jesus' life source were words like these which the Father spoke about him publicly: "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Yet these were the very words the enemy tried to attack in Jesus through the religious leaders of the time. There were even several attempts to kill Jesus, but the Father's words proved to be much stronger than all these attempts.

It is similar in our life. There are words which the Father has spoken to us in private or in public. These are words which reveal his love for us, our true identity, and our purpose on earth. Let us not be surprised if we find the enemy trying all he can think of to convince us Jesus did not speak the truth to us. Attempts like this should rather encourage us that we are on the right path to see God's words fulfilled in our lives.

Jesus might have looked like a loser when he hung at the cross without his clothes. It might have looked like the words the Father had spoken to him earlier were not true. But Jesus was actually not naked when he hung there. He could never be naked because he was clothed in the glory of his Father. His Father's words were still true, actually more than ever.

This is something nobody can take away from us regardless how hard people try: the glory of our Father. What an honor to be clothed in the glory of our God, to be made in his image, carefully formed and created by Love.
