In these dark times when good seems evil and evil good we stand out to be a light that will lead those who have not given up seeking for truth. Truth is not something we get at and then get stuck with, but a journey. It is our way of life. We reach some level of understanding, and adjust our way of living accordingly. Then, we continue searching for more; and in the process we grow internally in our relationship with God and others.
Each one of us has a particular way of seeing things, and we are tempted to think our way is the only way, but if we search deep inside our own past experiences, we will find that our way of thinking and behaving has not always been the same. It changes continually. That tells us that we will see things differently some other time in the future. This fact should allow us to be more tolerant of other’s opinions. Though, we might have good reasongs to think they are wrong. But, others will resist changing to our way of thinking as much as we will resist thinking like them.
The word of God will be the light in our path. We all come from different backgrounds. We may have different level of education than others, and may have being looking at biblical concepts longer than others, etc, but at the end if we focus on being like Jesus, more than in comparing ourselves with others, we will experience a better life in Christ. It is our goal to follow Jesus example of life, by reading and seeking to understand the written word and applying it to our lives in as much as we understand it. We know that in the measure we grow more things will be obvious to us that need repentance and doing the right thing. We will be better if we focus on doing than in talking. So, in everything we do, including our daily activities, we need to apply the principles God has set for us. If we do, we will enjoy a peace that humans can’t understand.
