 My Testimony

Psalm 146:8

LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous. 

My daughter Jasleen Singh, when she was one year old in year 1990, pulled the television trolley and television fell upon her. It caused her head injury and her eyes turned squinted. An eye surgeon operated upon her eyes and squint could be set right. With passage of time she almost lost her vision of right eye. Her vision of left eye was 20/20 and right eye almost blind. We tried a good number of eye surgeons but everywhere we received the reply that optical nerves cannot be repaired. 

   We prayed to the Doctor of Doctors. Pr Rajan Thomas, Bishop (Prayer Tower and Evangelical Mission), prayed, keeping his hand on the head of my child. She felt a strong flow of current passing through her body. This was the touch of Holy Spirit. Her vision came to normal in about six months. Now she is nineteen years old, a very cute child and does not wear glasses even. Lord had a plan to give His sign to my family. This is one of the big blessings of the Lord upon me and my family.

The Dreams of Truth 

Joel 2:28. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Calling on God, knowledge of Him, faith in Him, dependence on him, and desire for Him leads us to sincere conscientious obedience to him. Those only shall be delivered in the great day that is now effectually called from sin to God, from self to Christ, from things below to things above.

God often used dreams to communicate His will to men. In the Old and New Testament the significant instances of dreams are recorded in the history of Jacob (Gen. 28:12; 31:10), Laban (31:24), Joseph (37:9-11), Gideon (Judges. 7), and Solomon (1 Kings 3:5). Other momentous dreams are also recorded, such as those of Abimelech (Gen. 20:3-7), Pharaoh's chief butler and baker (40:5), Pharaoh (41:1-8), the Midianites (Judges. 7:13), Nebuchadnezzar (Dan. 2:1; 4:10, 18), the wise men from the east (Matt. 2:12), and Pilate's wife (27:19). To Joseph "the Lord appeared in a dream," and gave him instructions regarding the infant Jesus (Matt. 1:20; 2:12, 13, 19). In a vision of the night a "man of Macedonia" stood before Paul and said, "Come over into Macedonia and help us" (Acts 16:9; see also 18:9; 27:23).

All these dreams have made notable contribution in the history of mankind in general but in Christian history in particular. It is not that we the ordinary people are deprived of the privilege of having good or bad dreams during our sleep. There is no limitation of age; sex, caste, creed, religion or color but we all enjoy this freedom equally. There is good number of popular books on the interpretation of dreams and some people have acquired special talent to decode the dreams though their ability is not of the level of Joseph and Daniel.

Dreams play a significant role in our life and may lead us to make a turn towards God the Lord. He has a plan for your life. He goes on knocking at your lost soul repeatedly until you are awakened? He is the God of hope. He has all hopes for our awakening so He does not get upset when we ignore His repeated knocking at our heart. He is the way the truth and the life. John14: 6. Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Go into the depth of your memory and scan it fully. You will find His footsteps when He visited you but you ignored His call. He is the Light of the World and you will find the flashes of light when He attempted to take you away from darkness. He does not want a single soul to perish but be saved. John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Accept Him when He visits you. Don’t ignore His precious visits to you but accept Him with heart soul and mind. It is not that you have to choose Him but He has chosen you. John15: 16. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

when I scan my memory I find His first knock in 1987. My sleep was more swear than yours because of my being in deeper illusion of being senior government officer in India where all temptations and means to fulfill them are available for bureaucrats. I was in much dense jungle of darkness and never tried to listen to Him. He visited me first time during sleep in 1987. I saw Him standing beside my bed. He touched me. I had the feel of His tender touch when He touched me on my back. He blessed me. Before that I had no exposure of Jesus and His Kingdom. I ignored His call and preferred to remain in turbulence as I had the pride of my strength. He did not discard me for my foolishness but waited for next opportunity. He had certainly sown the seed of His blessings in my heart. 

After a long gap of time some believers visited my house and brought me to accept Jesus as my Savior, Jesus visited me second time. This too was a vision through dream. Though I did not see Jesus physically but it was the Spirit of the Lord “Holy Spirit”. It was the scene of the last day, the day of His second coming. I viewed destruction on all side. Earth was breaking, mountains falling, stars falling from the sky, sun and moon disappeared, heavy rain, storms and earth quacks. I did not find any living thing around me. The miracle I could see that land under my feet and little portion of roof above my head was intact. This was the message of His protective hand upon me. He had shelled me on all sides. He had sealed that part of universe like apple of His eye. I woke up and prayed to Him for His merciful hand upon me.

 Imagine yourself witnessing that protection from the Lord and have experience of His love for you. Sometime I recollect this memory and my body shakes with presence of Holy Spirit. Read the Holy Word of God: - 

 Isaiah 43: 2. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned the flames will not set you ablaze for I am the Lord your God Your Savior.

  Next time when I was in half sleep, I saw bright light surrounding the beautiful face of the Lord. It was another blessing of the Savior.

 Fourth time the dream I saw that good number of ferocious lions had surrounded me. They were just to devour me I raised my right hand and spoke ‘in the name of Jesus run away’. On His name they ran away like dogs with their tails downward in fear. This was another sign of His protection.

 Tree full of fruits

 Psalm 1.3

 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
       which yields its fruit in season
       and whose leaf does not wither.
       Whatever he does prospers.

I saw another dream that there was a river and on both sides of the river there was a dense growth trees. One tree had grown taller than all other trees and was bearing fruits giving pleasing look. The tree had a net on it so that no one could take its fruits and eat. Angels of Lord came and cut the net with cutting tools in their hands. Tree was cleared from the net and its fruits were available for food.

 The interpretation of the dream is that trees and river were my ancestral family and taller tree represented me as from family or relations no one gained the height that Lord blessed me. Fruits on the tree were gifts Lord blessed me for serving His Kingdom. Net is the yoke of Satan leading me to live a sinful life. The angel of God is Spirit of God, cutting tools ‘Holy Word of God’.

So Lord released me of the yoke of Satan, discarding sinful life and accepting Lord as my Savior. He washed all my sins with His Holy Blood on the cross. Lord took away my grave clothes and dressed me in Grace. He is the true vine and I am His branch to bring more and more fruits for His Kingdom. I pray for His blessings and strength to bring fruits of souls saved from condemnation.

My coming to U S A is miraculous.

Christian International Ministries Network (Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459 USA) invited me to participate in an event for Evangelism. I remember, on reaching Airport at Los Angels, I did not know my destination or any person who could provide me temporary shelter and food. I sat on the seashore and prayed to the Lord to lead me further. On return to the hotel where I stayed for a few days, I found a small paper in my baggage. Paper was bearing a telephone number of Gursharan Singh Sekhon. He had worked with me in India for about five years. From nearby telephone shop, I tried the said number and could get him on the line. He immediately recognized my voice but it was a big surprise to him. He is a trucker and at that time he was on his truck, three thousand miles away from Los Angels.

 Just after four days, he came to Los Angeles and picked me up to his house in Fresno, California state. On reaching there, Lord made me to feel that He had visited that place before my coming over there. Mr. Sekhon’s two sons, his wife and younger brother gave me too much honor and never made me to feel that I was an outsider. I enjoyed my stay with them for three months and never experienced scarcity of any thing. They used to say that God had sent His chosen one to their house to bless the house.

 God brought me to Caruthers where I started my work for His Kingdom and after one year i.e. on Sep 6^th Lord blessed me two baptisms (Mr. Javier and Mr. Surjit Singh). Mr. Surjit Singh (Sikh) cut his long hair before taking water immersion baptism in the name the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

 Lord anointed me

 Psalm 23:5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

While in California, Lutheran Church invited me to give my testimony in the church. I had prepared my written testimony but in night before, Lord changed my testimony. I saw Lord (through a dream) lying on a cot in my room and me sitting on the ground holding His tender feet in my hands. For my love to Him, tears were falling on His lovely feet. He sat up and placed His kind hand upon my head, probably saying ‘your sins are forgiven’. I understand it was the same experience that Mary Magdalene could take pleasure in when Jesus relieved her of her sins. I comprehend Lord anointed me personally to carry on the assignment He had brought me here. I realize He brought me here for preaching Holy Gospel among Indian Community as in the beginning I started giving His message in a Sikh temple in Fresno. I gave eight references about Jesus being Lord of judgment from Sikh Scripture i.e. Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He is addressed as Azzraa-eel or Angel of Azzraa-eel. 

Last year Lord gave me an awful dream. I saw a coffin carrying three evil spirits. It was carried to my room by another evil spirit. Lord gave me strength to smash two evil spirits hitting them forcefully against the wall. Third spirit was more ferocious with long teeth fighting against me with all strength. I raised my hand and commanded it to run away in the name of Jesus. It disappeared immediately. In the morning I received a phone call from India that my daughter in law was in the emergency ward of the hospital as she suffered from Dengue fever. Her blood count had come down to 9000 against 150000 normal. I told my son that she was in the protection of Jesus so nothing to worry she will get cured soon. My friend John came from Hanford and we prayed together. Since Lord had promised her recovery through the vision so in a fortnight she fully recovered from sickness. Lord has chosen Br John and He rushes him to me at the time of trouble. He is His chosen one.         

All these miracles have force of the Lord through Holy Spirit. Do you need His blessings? Fall in His feet, wash His Holy feet with your tears confessing your sins and seek His mercy for forgiveness. He is very kind, very merciful; He will lift you up, embrace you and wipe away your tears. He loves you too much.

John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Lord has a plan for my life. He has blessed me to carry the Gospel among Punjabi Sikh Community.

Lord spoke to me “But arise and stand upon thy feet: for to this end have I appeared unto thee, to appoint thee a minister and a witness both of the things wherein thou hast seen me and of the things wherein I will appear unto thee; 17 delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles, unto whom I send thee, 18.  to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me. Acts 26:16-18

 I know that He resides within my heart. I move around with unshaken faith, discharge my duty towards Him fearlessly. His Spirit is upon me.

 He would grant you according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man; 17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. Ephesians 3:16, 17 Amen

Testimony continued   

Heavenly Father       I bow in worship and praise before you! I glorify your Holy name! I completely surrender my life and all that have or will ever have. 

Introduction: I, the sinner have nothing to speak about myself but of the glory of the Savior “Lord Jesus Christ” who picked me up from the lowest rank in the caste oriented society of India where we are forced to live an inhumane life for centuries in the name of religion. I wish to discuss that my early life was very horrible as I was born in an untouchable Sikh family of Punjab. Though Sikhism does not believe in the system of Castes but Sikhs do believe and have created caste based Gurudwaras (Temples) through out the world. Being born of low caste, I had to taste the bitterness of caste discrimination and prejudice through out as long as I remained in the fold of Hinduism/ Sikhism. I had my sick mother whom I never saw walking but only confined to bed till her death in year 1960. Virtually I do not know the delightfulness of motherly love.

My family could not afford to send me to College or University for studies beyond high school. For livelihood of the family I in my early childhood joined my father doing some low-grade jobs. Cultural backwardness made me a victim of early marriage too. I was only fifteen years old when my wife joined me. In nutshell, I was over burdened with family responsibilities at my tender age. We the children of untouchables do not have childhood but our tender hands instead of holding toys hold rough tools of workmen to support the family. Word hope has no place in our language. Like slaves we are deprived of the vision of the world outside.

There was a severe heartbreaking pain against the caste prejudice and I could never accept to surrender before the so called upper castes. I always opposed and fought tooth and nail against their hateful attitude. I never accepted that the total humanity except three upper castes of India is not created by God. This looked to me to be a terrible cheat of Satan. Since I had no exposure to the Word of God, so I did not know the process of creation.

God’s plan: Lord had a different plan for my life. He blessed me the wisdom to complete my studies without teacher or even without books. I used to gather books from waste and prepare my study notes whenever I could escape from my routine job. Purely through self study, I completed graduation in Sikh Scriptures in 1972, Master in Economics in 1976. I used to visit the university only to sit in the examination.

God’s Mercy: In year 1976, I appeared in the competition for Indian Administrative Services (the highest civil service of India) and Lord blessed me success. The rate of success for the said competition is 0.01 percent. This miracle happened not for my acumen but for His blessings and purpose as He had to accomplish the plan that He had pre-designed. I retired from my service in September 2009 from a senior position in the Government of India after holding various administrative jobs for thirty years.  

Being a senior government officer, all sinful temptations were within my access and I could not escape and save myself from the fall. I slipped from His ways. Lord, whom I did not know (as I was unbeliever) protected me from every fall and restored this wild branch (me) to His vineyard.

Lord lured me: Lord lured and brought me to the light with a candy. The candy of the Lord was the restoration of the lost eye sight (right eye) of my daughter Jasleen Singh through prayer. Now she is a grown up child of twenty years with a very pleasant look. For this wonderful gift, I do not know how to express my gratefulness to the Most Merciful God. His unique gift of salvation to the sinners like me is still beyond expression in worldly language.

Bible Education: The charismatic gift planted the seed of Holy Kingdom within me and I started studying Holy Bible with ‘Rhema Church of India’. It was a three years certificate course from 1993 to 1996. Rev K L Chaudhari the President of the Church gave me baptism (Dipping in water) in the name the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. I started serving the Lord in my free time as I was a serving officer of the Government of India too. In year 2002, Pr K L Chaudhary ordained me as a minister of the church.

 I joined a distance learning diploma course from ‘Home Fellowship of Whales’ (UK). The said ministry ordained me as Reverend in year 2003. Presently I have the privilege of ‘Fellowship’ with the ministry.

In recognition of my church activities in North India, ‘International Institute of Church Management, Dallas Texas, United States’ honored me with “Doctor of Divinity”. I am a life time member of IICM.

Languages: I am fluent (read, write and speak) in three languages such as English, Hindi and Punjabi.

He chose me: In 1 Timothy 1, St Paul claimed to be the chief sinner. His claim could be correct because I did not exist during his time otherwise this could have been my privilege to pronounce the claim. After the restoration of the sight of my child, I felt that it was the conception of the seed of Holy Kingdom within me. This was a wonderful gift of the Lord as a sign of His call to me. Lord started visiting me through my dreams with His specific messages to work for His Kingdom. His messages always spoke that ‘for His mercy, He had washed my sins and He commanded me to live righteously through His glory and sin no more’.

I wish to produce one of the wonderful dream that I witnessed the Lord lying on a cot in my room and I had held His tender holy feet in my hands. I was weeping on His feet washing them with my tears. He sat up and put His hand on my head blessed me and disappeared. I experienced wonderful vision of the glory of the Lord with a specific anointing from Him. It was like the blessings on the sinful woman who deserved to die but blessed life by the Lord. “I do not condemn you. Now go and sin no more.” Lord blessed me a new life through His mercy upon.

Pastoral Experience: In India I have my own ministry “Holy Vision India” with Pr Rajan Thomas. We have registered this ministry as a ‘Church’ with the Government of India. Now our ministry is serving in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Utter Pardesh, Uttranchal and Kerala states of India. We have home churches everywhere and in Delhi our church was in my house but now at Rajan’s house. It is a small church of less than hindered members. I preached as Pastor with Pr Chaudhary and later on with Pr Rajan Thomas for seven years (2000-2007). The church is blessed with the gifts of the Spirit of God.

The most recent visit of the Lord was like the call to St Paul. I produce the verses of the Holy Bible that the Lord gave me that day:

“But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 18. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Acts 26:16-18

I understand His specific call for me to carry the Holy Gospel to the most un-touched community called ‘Sikhs’. Lord has blessed me success too. In Caruthers I gave baptism to a Sikh young man named Surjit Singh. Presently, I am working for growth of two Churches (in Kerman and Fresno).

Recently, Cornelia Ave Southern Baptist Church arranged a Medical Camp where there was a big participation of Punjabis. Twelve Punjabi patients out of forty three in all appeared for the treatment.

On 31^st Oct ‘Harvest Festival’ was looking like Punjabi Festival with Punjabi food and Punjabi Gospel music etc. The Lord is using me for His work abundantly. I am sowing the seed of the Holy Gospel and He will bless the fruit through His mercy.       

My belief

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

The Scriptures:

The verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures of the Old   and New Testaments as originally given by God; their sole-sufficiency and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

God : One God in persons, the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, co-equal, co-eternal, sovereign and active in creation, providence and redemption.

The Lord Jesus Christ: The essential deity and perfect humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and men; His virgin birth, sinless life and sacrificial death on the cross as the only substitute for sinners; His burial, bodily resurrection and ascension to heaven; His high priestly ministry and personal return.

Holy Spirit: The work of the Holy Spirit in regenerating the sinner and indwelling, sanctifying and empowering the believer.

God’s Plan: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee. Jeremiah 1:5

How does He prepare His Army? We the chosen people, the servants of Most High God are soldiers of His Army and the Lord is the Commander, the King of the Kings. He is Sovereign God and He recruits the soldiers right from the womb. I understand that right from the conception into my mother’s womb He shaped me rough and tough in the fire and tools of His hands for His unending love. He taught me to live in scarcity and subjected me to all humiliations to generate humility in me.  He tempted me to sins and picked me up for appreciation of His Holiness. He gave me the wisdom to attain high education even without resources for His merciful nature. To expose me to the fallacy of the world He blessed me high official position in the worldly government. But thanks to His love, He never gave me long rope that I get lost in the satanic kingdom of this world.

Lord brought me to the United States just four months before my retirement from government service so that I do not get lost. Lord gave me total exposure to the Sikh Scripture to prepare me to counter and encounter the erroneous belief of the religion and make them understand the Holy Word of God.

My coming to U S A is miraculous.

For more than a year, I worked as Evangelist independently. In March 2009, Most Merciful God opened the doors for Punjabi Ministry known as “Punjabi Christian Fellowship” with Cornelia Ave Southern Baptist Church Fresno. I am too much indebted to Pr David Rasmussen, Pr Rich Johnston, Pr William Nathaniel, Pr Stafford and all other members of the Church Ministry, the Association and Convention Southern Baptist Church Fresno.

God has wonderfully blessed the evangelistic work in Punjabi Community of India through Cornelia Ave Southern Baptist Church Fresno. Here is the self speaking newsletter of the Southern Baptist Association:

Punjabi Christian Fellowship - Meets weekly at two locations: Cornelia on Sunday nights at 6PM and Kerman FSBC on Saturday nights at 6PM.  Pray for this new effort to do international missions in Fresno County.  [Bonus Facts: Asian Indians in the Mid-Valley represent the fastest growing of all Asians groups.  10,600 Asian Indians now live in Fresno County.  Currently, 1080 live within a five mile radius of FSBC Kerman.   1143 live in the communities surrounding Cornelia Ave BC. (Source: Mission Insight, courtesy of CSBC).  This is one of the most un-reached people groups in our association.]

The “Punjabi Christian Fellowship” is a mission listed with the Southern Baptist Convention Office also.

On 31^st Oct 2009 in the Harvest Festival, there was huge gathering of Punjabi Community as if it was Punjabi Festival. There was good number of verities of Punjabi Food for the visitors. Punjabi Singers also added color of Punjabi Culture to the event.

Overall the Cornelia Ave Southern Baptist Church has planted the seed of a new Punjabi Ministry but for its growth to the harvest the ministry needs watering and fertilizer. Pr David Rasmussen and his team is working hard and knocking every door for feeding the infant ministry.

Sermon in Hindi and Punjabi on the Net: The ministry is going to launch a new program to make the Gospel to reach the ends of the earth. The Sunday Sermon of Pr David Rasmussen will be made available in Hindi and Punjabi languages on the website in my voice. This will be the first Sermon on the Net in the voice of a person having Sikh background. I invite other churches also to give me the opportunity to make their Sermons available in my voice so that their Sermon reaches the Hindi and Punjabi speaking areas of the world.

The Message I carry to the lost?

Brethren, you believe that:

The birth of the soul is a curse for the sins of previous life. For you the deeds (Karma) of the soul grant the body in the next life as the soul deserves. The soul can take birth as cat, dog or in any other form of life depending upon the Karmas from your previous life. You believe in 8.4 million forms of life on the earth and the soul has to pass through all those for taking birth as human being. You are terrified by 330 Million gods. You have no concept of Heaven but only extinction of the soul from the cycle of lives and deaths.

Salvation: - You have a different meaning of salvation called Moksha. It is the extinction of the soul from the cycle of births and deaths. You do not believe in eternal life but believe in eternal death or extinction of the soul.

We believe and rejoice that God has granted us this wonderful life.  He created man in His own image so that we may know Him, obey Him, and love Him.  He loves us.  To save us from our sins He sent His eternal, only Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us and rose again from the dead so that we may have the gift of eternal life.  Salvation means the complete and free forgiveness of our sins and eternal life with the Lord in Heaven for all who will believe in Jesus Christ.

Do you still choose eternal death?
