Here are some reasons why the upload is interrupted or stuck:

- Instability of your internet connection

Solution: Either use “Secure Uploader” which is immune against the most types of connection interruptions or try it again later.

- You switched off Computer during Upload

Solution: Please make sure that your computer stays on and online until the upload is completed

- Your computer changed the network (e.g. when you have access to multiple wireless networks) during upload

Solution: Either use “Secure Uploader” which is able to handle network switches or make sure your computer stays connected to one single network until the upload is completed

- Network Problem somewhere on the route between your computer and our servers

Solution: Either use “Secure Uploader” which is immune against the most types of connection interruptions or try it again later. Technical experienced users can also do a traceroute to lightcast.com to check the network route.

- Other applications on your computer affecting stability of Upload

Solution: Please check free RAM and diskspace of your computer and close all applications which perform internet activities.

-  Your computer’s Firewall is blocking the communication to lightcast

Solution: Try disabling your firewall to check if that is the reason. If that helps please reconfigure your firewall to let all requests from and to lightcast.com pass.

- Sites in other tabs in browser affecting stability of Upload

Solution: Please close all other tabs and try it again.

- File is larger than 2048MB

Solution: Please re-encode your video file to fit into the 2048MB restriction. Most systems or system components can’t handle files bigger than 2048MB well, so we decided to set the limit here.

- The upload service on lightcast servers crashed

Solution: Please try again 15 min later. That shouldn’t happen too often and should be quickly resolved from our side.

- Webservers on lightcast servers or Web browser closed connection due to a timeout situation

Solution: Please use “Secure Uploader” which should be immune due to most kinds of timeouts

- Firewall on lightcast servers blocks your computer

- Webservers on lightcast are overloaded

Solution: Please try again 15 min later. That shouldn’t happen too often and should be quickly resolved from our side.

- Lightcast Storage server crashed or is overloaded

Solution: Please try again 15 min later. That shouldn’t happen too often and should be quickly resolved from our side.
